The search for a naturally occurring anabolic steroid had been going on for years. While there are many plants and shrubs which do contain some type of steroids, many of these are not anabolic in nature.
The majority of anabolic steroids on the market are synthetics and difficult to come by. Some are fake, others are counterfeit and many can not be obtained legally.
In North America, most physicians are hesitant to prescribe such drugs for fear of abuse. There is so much media hype about the side effects about anabolic steroids that everyone it appears has become paranoid. Yes, Chris Benoit did a bad thing and killed his family- probably related to roid rage. However, one can actually count on one hand the fatalities from anabolic steroids in North America. But on the other hand smoking, motor vehicle accidents and alcohol cause thousands of deaths each year and yet no one seems to be concerned.
People, we need to get things in perspective (are you listening Mr FDA and DEA?
